Matt Heaton is a Boston-based guitar player who leads the retro-sonic surf noir outfit the Electric Heaters. The Heaters are an instrumental trio, reverb drenched guitar sounds winding their way through surf, spy, spaghetti western and a touch of soul. The band recently released “From the Film of the Same Name,” their first full length recording. It’s a collection of soundtracks to imaginary movies, evoking a wide palette of moods and styles. In addition to his time with the Heaters, before noon, Matt can often be heard playing and singing for kids and families; he has proudly introduced hundreds of kindergartners to the music of Link Wray.
