SANDRA CORCUERA

Sandra Corcuera is a Spanish singer-songwriter, communicator and holistic therapist based in Mexico since 2008. She comes from a family of musicians and began learning piano and music theory at the Conservatorio Superior de Música del Liceo (Barcelona, ​​Spain) as a child. She composed her first songs before she knew how to write, and so, recorded them on cassette.

She built a successful career as an announcer and music TV host in Spain and Mexico (Kiss Fm, Los 40 Principales, Ritmoson, RadioFórmula) and continues to work in that field today.

In 2008 she formed her band, Goma pop, in Mexico and in 2014 Cosmos Producciones signed them and recorded the E.P. "Nada Es Tan Fácil, pop in Spanish", produced by Adrián “Rojo” Treviño and Andrés “Chano” Guardado DLD, Río Roma, Los Claxons).

In 2015 she was awarded the composition scholarship from the Society of Authors and Composers of Mexico (TCSACM), and in 2017 she left her band to dedicate herself fully to composition and playing as a guest bassist in other projects. After taking classes at Berklee College of Music in Boston (USA), she decided to start her solo career.

In 2018 she began her “Cuestión de tiempo” tour in Mexico, Spain and Costa Rica, opening shows for artists such as Ana Torroja, Kabah, María León, Matute, and sharing the stage in duets with Paty Cantú, Rosana, Iskander, David Otero, Pablo Ruiz, and Mosy among others. The Legendary Mexican rock group, La Gusana Ciega, invited her to feature on their new single "Amantes Modernos", and she sang the song with them on various tour stops and performances.
