TuskHead

TuskHead is the musical alter ego of Dutch artist Patrick van Zandwijk. His music blends Americana with his European background, a sound often described as “Dutchicana.”

Patrick first got into Americana at a young age through a video game soundtrack that introduced him to writers like Ed Bruce, Jerry Reed and Whitey Shafer. That early interest eventually took him to the United States to write, record and perform.

In 2024, TuskHead recorded Modern Electric Sessions in Dallas with members of The Texas Gentlemen. In 2025 he released Two Faced, followed by the 2026 EP One Step Forward & Two Steps Back, recorded at Famous London Recording Studio in Knoxville and released as his first project with Migrant Records.

His work has earned two top-five entries in the Gelderland Top 20, multiple features in Guitarist magazine in the Netherlands, and a spot as “One to Watch” on the Euro Americana Chart in June 2025.

Patrick plays the Silvertone 633 ‘Sixties’ Reissue Jumbo acoustic guitar on stage and in the studio. Modeled after Silvertone’s 1964 Sovereign, the 633 has the volume and deep tone of a proper jumbo, with a solid Engelmann spruce top and mahogany back and sides giving it a clear, balanced sound.

For TuskHead, Silvertone also makes sense beyond the specs. The brand’s American history, from Sears catalog guitars to the blues and roots players who used them, connects naturally with the stories, grit and old-school country character at the heart of his music.
