As a child growing up in rural New Mexico CW Ayon was always around music. His mother would sing in the style of Patsy Cline and would regularly be a part of local get togethers involving music and house parties.
By the time he hit his early 20’s he had met his wife, who showed him the basic chords on the guitar and that was all it took. Being increasingly drawn to the sounds of Roots music and the Blues, in particular the North Mississippi Hill Country style, his path was set.
Fast forward to 2009, the band he was in had fallen apart and he was looking for his next project. Then he saw a One Man Band (Richard Johnston) perform at the Silver City Blues Festival and was blown away. Since then, he has been performing as the premier One Man Band in and around the Southwest.
CW has written and recorded 10 albums of original music in his signature High Desert Country Blues style, and has been able to share his passion and love for Blues music all over the world. CW can be found touring and playing festivals all over the U.S., Europe and Australia.
